University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) began sending referrals through to patient’s pharmacies from October 12th using a new system that enables them to send referrals more easily to pharmacies and potentially in greater volumes. This process was managed carefully initially, sending limited numbers and for a duration of two weeks followed this up with phone calls to check that the pharmacies had received the referrals. From November 1st we expect the number of referrals to increase.
We have created a one-page visual Quick Guide to assist with engagement and delivery of service within the pharmacy. We have also attached other relevant documents.
