Digital Inclusion Coventry

All Coventry residents should have equal opportunities to access digital technologies, services and supports in a way that helps them in their daily lives.

#CovConnects aims to support residents on their digital journeys, working in partnership with organisations both locally and nationally, improving access for all.

Godiva PCN Pilot

Godiva PCN Pilot- The Digital Health Pilot is trialling a referral system whereby Godiva Group Practice refers people into the WATCH centre in Hillfields, Coventry. A newly appointed Digital Health Advisor at the centre can then contact the residents for an informal conversation, from which he will be able to understand their specific needs. The Digital Health Advisor can offer a range of support, including free SIM cards, digital devices, online health resources, digital skills, and signposting to relevant services. He is actively engaged in supporting people to register for and use the NHS app, and in proactively seeking outreach opportunities as well as development of his own knowledge and skills.

National Databank

National Databank- there are over 40 hubs across Coventry which can distribute sim cards pre-loaded with 6 months worth of data,, texts and calls, which can be accessed by anyone over the age of 18 and needs support accessing data. Full information can be found on our website, along with functions to search nearest hub.

We are keen to see if any pharmacies would be interested in distributing sim cards as part of their wider support for enabling people to access digital NHS services. Please email CovConnectsDigital@coventry.gov.uk if of interest.

Digital Champions

Digital Champions

#CovConnects has partnered with the Barclays Digital Champions programme to offer Barclays Digital Champion training sessions in Coventry.

These sessions bring people together from different roles in the community and organisations. You’ll all have one thing in common – the same passion for helping people with their digital skills. You don’t need to be a digital expert to become a Digital Champion. We’ll give you all the training, resources and support you need.

The aim of these sessions is to help you become a force for good in your community or organisation, helping bring to life the essential digital skills others need to thrive in the digital world around us. Working alongside other Digital Champions, you’ll support our goal to improve digital inclusion across Coventry. Please email CovConnectsDigital@coventry.gov.uk if of interest.
