Local Mandated Health Campaign: Only Order What You Need

NHS Coventry and Warwickshire ICB have launched a medicine waste campaign that aims to reduce the number of medicines prescribed unnecessarily. It’s estimated that 1.6 million prescription items are wasted unnecessarily in Coventry and Warwickshire each year. This costs the NHS over £13m a year, money that could be spent on other vital local services. The ‘Only Order What You Need’ campaign hopes to encourage people on repeat prescriptions to check what medicines they have at home before they order and to only order the medicines they need.

The campaign runs throughout February and March 2026.  Details and requirements can be found here.
