Community Pharmacy and General Practice Conference June 2026
This is a repost of our new CEO, Conor Price’s recent LinkedIn post about the Community Pharmacy and General Practice Conference in June 2026:
A really insightful couple of days at the Community Pharmacy and General Practice Conference. Even more impressive to see such commitment from colleagues across the sector on a Sunday and on Father’s Day.
I had the privilege of chairing two panels and participating in two more. There were some fascinating discussions around data and analytics across England and Scotland, particularly hearing from Public Health Scotland about the opportunities that can be unlocked through better use of data.
I also loved being on stage with my London work wife Lisa Harrod-Rothwell, sitting next to a legitimate work husband and wife duo Dupé (Ogundeyin) Akomolafe and Baba Akomolafe, discussing collaboration, relationship building and what we have achieved together through primary care leadership across London. It was a great opportunity to share practical examples of what partnership working can deliver.
My final panel focused on digital and AI. The conversation reinforced something I feel strongly about: the technology exists. The benefits are clear. The barriers are largely cultural and organisational. We need to stop overcomplicating things, cut through the noise and get on with adopting technologies that can genuinely improve care and productivity. Thank you to Gurnak Singh Dosanjh Shanker Vijayadeva and Ananya D.
It was also brilliant to meet so many fellow LPC Chief Officers and hear about the innovation happening across the country.
A huge thank you to Cogora and NPA – National Pharmacy Association for hosting such a fantastic event.
