Phlebotomy Coventry
Phlebotomy services are blood tests or blood taking. A prescriber such as a nurse or GP can issue a patient with a request to have bloods taken and for convenience and speed this can now be done in the local pharmacy, avoiding queues at the hospital or GP surgery. The bloods are sent off for analysis and the results are sent back to the prescriber. This provides access to phlebotomy services at a wider range of times and venues to suit the local community.
Reminder: Please remember that community pharmacies are responsible for arranging their own sharps collections for the Phlebotomy Service in Coventry, just like all other clinical services waste and sharps (such as Flu and Covid vaccinations).
